Day 1
Pick up at the hotel and proceed to the longhouse which takes about one hour from Betong town (64km) 3-4 hour from sibu. Meet with local people and proceed by Trekking to Bukit Sadok which takes about 4-5 hours. A place where historic war between Rentap and James Brooke’s army and the famous impenetrable fort he build at Bukit Sadok to fight off the invaders. Bukit Sadok was the place where Rentap built his almost impenetrable fort that thwarted James Brooke’s earlier attempts to capture the Skrang and Saribas areas. According to history, Rentap retreated to Bukit Sadok after his defeat at Sungai Lang, Ulu Skrang in 1854. He constructed a fort at the summit of Bukit Sadok. Made from thick belian woods, the fort was believed to be impenetrable and approach was either from the north or south directions through difficult and steep terrain.

The Bukit Sadok Monument is a tribute to Rentap and the people of Betong At first the track winds mainly through pepper gardens, pineapple gardens, and all manner of other crops. The trail is quite educational for many people, as it will take you through every stage of Iban farming practice in just a few hours. Having stop on the way up the mountain to admire the views. Continuing onwards up on a rocky outcrop at the top of a narrow ridge, according to some this is where a palisade was built by Rentap and his men. About one hour from the rocky outcrop, it will reach the main summit. Here were two small structures, one was a shelter big enough for about 10 people to fit easily, and the other was a small memorial hut built nearby with a copy of the Timpang brang cannon placed in it and with several signboards giving the gist of what happened on the mountain. Enjoy the scenic sunset at the top of the mountain. Stay overnight there.

Day 2
After having simple breakfast, packing and trek back to Longhouse. Overland to betong terminal bus or Sibu town for your next journey. Tour end
